. . . make a difference:
When you join the Queensland Young Liberals, you are showing that you are a person who cares about your community. Young Liberals help out their local community groups and charities. We work to get government policy changed to what we believe is best for Queensland and Australia. We make a difference, and so can you.

. . . meet GREAT people:
In the Young Liberals, you'll meet heaps of people from a diverse range of backgrounds. There are many different occupations, professionals, students, people in trades and many others. However, though there is plenty of diversity, we all share a similarity of purpose, drive and desire to succeed. The Young Liberals is great for networking, and inevitably we all become friends.

. . . have your say:
Membership in your local Young Liberal Movement Branch entitles you to help shape new policies, to join influential committees, and to qualify for all sorts of important positions within the Party. If you have a specialty or specific area of interest, you can take part in policy development for a whole area, for example, education, crime or health. Have you say - get involved and directly influence policy outcomes.

. . . air your views effectively:
No matter how convincing your arguments, they can do little good at the dinner table or in the pub. Membership in your local Young Liberal Movement Branch gives you the chance to take part in political debates, meet Members of Parliament and get your views across. Every month, the Young Liberals have a State Council where anyone can get up and have their say on any issue.

. . . have a GREAT time:
Policy and meetings can be important, if you are looking for a good time, we are it. The Young Liberals has many social functions, including memorial dinners, balls, cricket days, mock parliaments and BBQ's. Whether its informal coffee after a State Council, or dressing up for the annual Young Liberal Ball, we know how to have fun.

. . . select Liberal candidates:
Young Liberal Movement Branches play a vital role in the selection of endorsed Liberal candidates. There can be few more fulfilling responsibilities than selecting tomorrow's Liberal Members of Parliament, to make sure that at a Local, State and Federal level, people are represented by the best.

. . . to run for Parliament yourself:
Membership in your local Young Liberal Movement Branch opens up the scope for you to see your ideas become reality. It entitles you to seek endorsement as a Liberal candidate, and have all the backing of the Party organisation.
