State President's Letter

Welcome to the official website of the Queensland Young Liberal Movement.

The Queensland Young Liberal Movement is one of the most pre-eminent youth political organisations in the country.

We are a movement that has large membership base with branches stemming from Cairns and Townsville in North Queensland, right through to branches on the Gold Coast.

For whatever reason people want to get involved in politics - we cater for it.

Our membership comprises of people from all different backgrounds. We have university and high school students, lawyers, medical staff, airline pilots, political advisers, teachers, accountants, trades people and farmers just name a few.

The Young Liberal Movement provides its members with a wide array of opportunities. For those of you motivated to get involved in politics and help drive the future agenda of public policy in Australia, the Young Liberals is the best vehicle to do so. We enjoy constant contact and influence with the members of parliament and ministers that make the decisions in the highest forums in the country and we provide forums for the discussion of Liberal philosophy and politics.

There are also many people in the Young Liberals that join for the more social aspect of our activities. We are one of the largest youth organisations in Australia with thousands of members across the country. Regular social events are held throughout the year from pub crawls, to trivia nights to our annual ball. The level of social interaction and networking opportunities that the Young Liberals provide are unparalleled.

Young Liberal membership is open to anyone aged 16 - 30 who is enrolled to vote.
